Hi Jason

Thank you again for your time the other day. This is certainly a tough situation as my pets are a big part of my life. Let me provide some information about Cashew.

Hopefully someone within your network might be interested in caring for Cashew. I appreciated your offering to try and find a home for him. Lets see how it goes. My travel schedule is very hectic these next couple of weeks so I will do my best to stay open.

Male – neutered

Age – 11 years

Breed – pure bred Bengal

Has been declawed on his front paws

Weight – about 17lbs

No health issues to date

Cashew is a great family cat. He is playful, even at his age, and loves a good face scratching and petting. He does like to be on your lap from time to time but doesn't typically lay down until he has "kneaded" you for several minutes. He is an indoor cat so it's important that the home who welcomes him is ok with having an indoor cat 100% of the time.

His routine is that he roams the house during the day, sleeping on the sofa, chair, bed, etc. Anywhere there is sunlight or a comfortable pillow.  At night I place him in our 800 square foot basement where he has full reign. I do this because he like to make noise in the middle of the night. He has had this routine for about 4 years now and loves it. Around 7:30 he starts meowing to go downstairs to bed – like clock work. His litter box, bed, food and water are all downstairs in the basement. During the day we have the pet door which stays open all day so he can go downstairs when needed. He also has a water and food bowl upstairs.

He also loves to be brushed. You can brush him often and it clean his coat of loose hair. His coat and markings are also beautiful. In my opinion, he would do best in a single cat home. I also have a dog (who chases and barks at him often) and he is fine with that. He has never defended himself with the dog – meaning he is very loving and tolerant. He also loves to drink out of a running faucet. He has a routine of jumping on my bathroom counter when I am getting ready. If you run it slowly he will get a nice long drink.

Thanks

Sherry
