Meet Jon “incident” Marcus a.k.a John Herscher. He stole someone’s one-year-old beagle-terrier puppy to sell on Craigslist for $125 in gas money to get out of Nashville. I’d say this was a joke, but he’s e-mailed me back regarding an inquiry to buy the puppy, and seems pretty serious about it.
He posted the following on his facebook profile “opulence”:
Jon ‘incident’ Marcus: stuck in tenneessee anyone willing to wire me money let me know or wanting to buy a dog I stole for gas money le me know!!
FB_Friend: You’re kidding about the dog, right?
Jon ‘incident’ Marcus: No I stole a puppy and put it on cragislist to sell I need gas money to get home me and my friend meg are trapped here

I wonder if local police will take up this case? It’s a little early to call now, but I hope this gets resolved well for the dog. Either way, I see this going viral and this kid getting a good dose of reality.
