Hello, Erica. I meet you a couple of years ago when I wanted to volunteer with you, but you sent me to Alley Cat Alliance where I volunteered until they stopped caring for strays. I have been on the phone and email all day. I know you do not take cats but I desperately need some help. I have three 8-9 week old kittens in my bathroom! I took them when my friend found them under her shed. They are nice little cats. They let me go in the bathroom, sit with them, talk to them, but if I try to pick them up they get so afraid that I have really not tried much. The one time I did they really freaked out. I am certain that given time and some experienced socializing they would be ok. But, my daughter-in-law in CA has taken ill and my son says I may have to come out this weekend and stay for a month or so or bring all the children out here to stay in my tiny house! Clearly a bad time for trying to socialize cats. Dumb Friends League will take them and evaluate them, but will not guarantee that they won't euthanize them. 8-(  But, if I do not find somewhere for them soon, I will have no other choice. I have called every shelter I could think of and, as you probably know, I got told no everywhere. Max Fund even hung up on me as I tried to explain that they had taken these cats' brother just yesterday. I am willing to make a donation to help cover the costs where ever they would be lucky enough to go. If you can help in anyway or make any suggestions please contact me ASAP.
