Hi Everyone,

My cousin adopted a beagle from DMAS in April (photo attached).  Unfortunately, that shelter didn't have the facilities to do doggie introductions to see if it would be a good match with her resident dog, so she took the little girl (Wilma) home.  Unfortunately, her first dog hasn't taken to Wilma, so Kelley is looking to find a safe, loving, forever home for Wilma rather than return her to the shelter.  She has Wilma's best interests at heart, and will probably ask for a reference from a veterinarian and take other precautions as well.

I've never met Wilma, but according to Kelley, she's a sweetie!!!  She will also be contacting Colorado Beagle Rescue for assistance, but I thought I'd send this information out as well to help speed up the process, hopefully.

Hi Carrie. Thanks for helping me. I got her from Denver Municipal Animal Shelter.  I got her at the end of April, and she is about 5 years old. She is very sweet and loving but I think her former owners didn't take good care of her since she doesn't know any commands and had really long nails and kinda bad teeth.  She is also skittish of people initially, especially men.  She is up to date on everything and is healthy but probably needs a dental.  I am trying to teach her some commands and she is learning, I think.  :)  Anyway let me know what you find out, and hopefully I can find a good home for her!!
