RMJfA- Fw: Additional help needed finding lost dog in Aurora, Lily -- need someone who speaks Spanish

Dear Carrie,

 

We are in kind of a weird situation regarding the loss of Lily.  We put up posters last night and had a girl call today saying that her friend found the dog and that the friend or friend's mom has given the dog to another person in Arvada; when my boyfriend called the friend, Itzamara, Itzamara's mom seemingly told Itzamara to tell my boyfriend that they had found the dog at Walgreen's near our house and that she and Itzamara just released the dog after calling the number on her tag and not reaching anyone.

 

Itzamara's mom speaks Spanish and couldn't communicate with Jeremy, my boyfriend, except through Itzamara; Itzamara's mom was talking in the background as Itzamara was telling the story to Jeremy.

 

Jeremy called the initial caller, Vicky, back to find out more info, and Vicky said that she saw the dog with Itzamara, not by Walgreen's but nearer to 17th and Geneva, about a block away from our house.  Vicky didn't know much about Itzamara except that Itzamara lives nearby and told her later through text messages that her mom had given the dog to someone in Arvada.  Vicky doesn't know where Itzamara lives and Vicky said she's from Florida and just visiting family in our neighborhood.

 

I live in a predominantly Spanish speaking neighborhood.  I am thinking that we need someone who can speak Spanish to help us.  Would anyone you know who likes animals and can speak and understand Spanish be able to help us?  Obviously, we could pay them for their services.  I just think that maybe going around our neighborhood and asking in Spanish about info regarding Lily and her whereabouts would be beneficial in our search.

 

I'm afraid that Lily's been given to a new family farther away, being kept by Itzamara's family as their new pet, or might have been sold.

Subject: Fw: Lily escaped on Saturday, and we haven't found her yet.

Lily, our white, tan, and gray shih tzu, escaped our house and yard Saturday, probably around 4pm. She left our house in north Aurora, near Havana and 17th Street. She is curious and friendly and wearing her red collar with the 29th Ave. Animal Hospital shot tag. If found, please call us at 720-272-2232 or 720-299-4949. We miss her! Thank you!
