People of the Pack

Posted: 06 Apr 2010 12:56 PM PDT

Whats-all-the-noise-about Tom and I are members of Bissell's Pack of Pet Lovers. And proud to be so. We love being part of something bigger than we are.

Bissell, or rather, the people of the pack, will be at BlogPaws 2010 this week and we're tres' excited that we'll get to meet them, and some of the other members of the pack. (notice how Wabby is thrilled that we're writing about this - she's in her best "I can't be bothered" pose!)

I thought I'd do a quick introduction to those other members because they are truly outstanding blogs and bloggers. This is one of the reasons we are so proud to be members of the Bissell Pack of Pet Lovers - because they chose bloggers of extraordinary talent. Mind you, I have yet to meet a pet blogger without extraordinary talent, but that's just me bragging on the pet blog community.

Let's proceed -

Inside the pack is written by a Bissell employee (Sue Potter - isn't her dog adorable? you have to click the link to see it). I like her post on the Global Pet Expo which was in Orlando just recently. I did hear good news about it from some other bloggers, but the post referenced here goes into more detail. And to think I did not even know the Global Pet Expo existed - until we started BlogPaws with Caroline.

Dog files, another Pack of Pet Lovers member, has one of the very best video sites on the net. YouPack-of-pet-lovers-header cannot leave his site without bookmarking it and coming back again and again. WE love it! Do check out some of the funny pet videos. Something to give you a laugh, today. And, I hear Dog Files is coming to BlogPaws! Pawsome!

Thoughts Fur Paws is a blog written by "a pet fanatic" so she says. She's so much a part of the pet blogger community through her shelter work, her work with her Golden Retrievers, and her foster dogs (Basset Hounds) as well as her "three sweet kitties." I love that she says she could never choose between the two -dogs or cats. I am right there with her! If you're coming to BlogPaws...guess what? You can meet her there! W00t!

Next, we have the charming Paw Luxury. I met this blogger online at Twitter, before we joined the Pack of Pet Lovers. I'm so glad to know her. What a truly unique and delightful pet blog. I especially refer you to the post on How to Perform CPR on a Dog. It could save a life, someday. I recommend a good long visit with this blog. There's a LOT to take in and all of it is worthy of your time. (another reason we like Paw Luxury is that she is friends with The Healing Art of PetParenthood - someone we LUV - and whose book we recommend)

Rounding things out, for now anyway, we have Happy Tails from Petfinder.com. This is a neat blog with a lot of great content about pet adoption. Since Tom and I will be adopting dog(s) after BlogPaws, I'm drawn to this blog and the great pictures. Makes me want to give all those pups and kittens a big hug! I bet the pups would like it, but I doubt the kittens would. Petfinder is also coming to BlogPaws. Yay!

Stop over and visit our friends. Send us your blog link and story, and we'll write about you, too. Stay tuned for more info from BlogPaws as the week goes on. We'll be reporting LIVE! (I hope - technology is not always our friend, you know)
