A Note from the Wabby

Posted: 07 Jan 2010 08:13 AM PST

The-wabby-watches It's been awhile since I got a chance to write a note - Mom is always hogging the computer!

I just wanted to let all my fans know that I'm happy in this new home. Mom and Tom are working hard (as they should) to make everything good for me. They made some really great new steps for me so I can climb up on the bed easier. And, Mom is good about making the bed in the morning. Some cats might not care about that, but I prefer to nap on a well-made bed. (unless the 'dog' is here - she's written about the dog, right? Hmph! She is so annoying! Last time I had to crawl under the covers on the bed to get away from her and Mom almost kicked me on the floor when she got in bed!)

BlogPawsThere is a lot of chatter, lately, about something called BlogPaws - and it includes Romeo the Cat, a   friend of mine who has the best wake-up tactics on the net! I just sit at the bottom of the steps and wail at the top of my lungs. And, honestly, these days, I do it for a few minutes and then I just lie down and wait. One of them attends to me... shortly. If they don't, I wail louder. And louder... But, the cats who write to Romeo get into their Mom's faces...and Romeo really gets attention - in some interesting ways!

Orphaned-puppies There are hints that Mom and Tom might increase the pet population here at the new house, but I'm working to convince them otherwise. I do not need to share my throne. Really, now... another cat? No way! I rule - let's keep it that way. A dog? Well, a really well-behaved dog, that knows its place, is okay. Personally, I don't see why they can't just work with the dog that comes to visit now and then. A once-in-awhile dog - now, that is much more appealing! (I hope it's not a puppy! They are SOOOooo annoying! Really, you know they are.)

I'll keep you updated. Meanwhile, our new home is a step up from our old home. It's #4 for me, and each one is better than the last. I'm working on asking for my own room...if we ever move again.
