Howling Howliday Contributor Spotlight - Stella & Chewy's!

Posted: 12 Dec 2009 04:01 AM PST

OK, Mum had a tough time keeping me out of this pawsome contribution to Johann's Howling Howliday Giveaway!!!

The super nice folks at Stella & Chewy's sent three prizes for my Giveaway - Stella's Super Beef Freeze Dried Dinner (oh my, that's the one I'm sniffin'), and two jars of Carnavore Kisses, their all natural, diced 100% premium meat treats.

We got a chance not too long ago to try these out when the company sent us a few for free. Gotta tell ya, they are gone, gone, gone!!!

Gracie was super good about coming in from the backyard, because she knew she was going to get some Carnivore Kisses :) We tried out the duck....soooo good!!!

Stella & Chewy's believes..."that dogs deserve to thrive on pure, simple, minimally processed food – the way nature intended. That's why their natural dinners aren't cooked like most commercial pet foods. And why every patty is made with select organic produce and raw, USDA-inspected meat, raised naturally with no added hormones or antibiotics."

We like that! Oh and did I tell ya they are good!!!!

Super thanks to Stella & Chewy's for donating their pawsome treats and food to the lucky winning pups of my Giveaway!

Howling Howliday Contributor Spotlight - K9KlearUp!

The folks at K9KlearUp contributed a jar and samples of their all-natural dog balm that they say is 'guaranteed to help clear up the 17 most common canine skin and coat problems'.

Here's some info from their website....
"Current users of K9 KlearUp™ love how simple the ingredient list is. Many pet care products are filled with artificial preservatives (including parabens which have been linked to cancer), artificial chemicals to color, and even artificial chemicals to change product odor.

This product is pretty straight-forward - only six natural ingredients:

Shea butter: (known for its ability to moisturize and rejuvenate the skin, shea butter forms the base for K9 KlearUp™.)

Tepezcohuite: (an ingredient from a tree found in central America. It's been used it for over 1,000 years to treat skin lesions of every kind.)

Vegetable emulsifier: (this ingredient "smooths out" the Shea Butter / Tepezcohuite mixture, helping K9 KlearUp™ to absorb within about 10 seconds after application)

Aloe Vera: (long-known for its exceptional skin-rejuvenation properties.)

Caprylyl Glycol: (this ingredient has moisturizing properties that help soften and smooth the skin. It comes from coconut.) Sorbic Acid: (A natural preservative from the Mountain Ash tree.)"
Thanks K9KlearUp for contributing to my Giveaway and sending some product for our winning pups to try out!

A couple of interesting dog films!

Posted: 12 Dec 2009 03:47 AM PST

I came across a couple of cool vids the other day and wanted to share. Here's the winner of Best Film in the recent Hawaii Pet Film Festival. Bet this pup could jump over miles and miles of tiles, and make a great agility prospect, yes? :)

This documentary - Street Dogs of South Central - has been in the works for quite some time. Looks likes they are near a distribution deal. Very interesting story of 'a mother and her pups extraordinary story through an American urban jungle.' The film is narrated by Queen Latifah.

Howling Howliday Contributor Spotlight - Dog Tag Art!

Posted: 11 Dec 2009 11:42 AM PST

Remember back in September when Dog Tag Art sent me a free unique, indestructible pet id tag printed with crowdsourced artwork? (I chose the Earth design, since I'm a green dog you know.)

Well, when we were contacting all our friends to see if they wanted to contribute to Johann's Howling Howliday Giveaway, we sent them a note to see if they wanted to pawticipate. And they did!!!

Dog Tag Art is contributing 6, count 'em 6, of their cool dog tags to my Giveaway. And the winning pups will get to select their favorite design when they place their free order with the company.

The unique thing about Dog Tag Art is they provide really unique, indestructible pet tags printed with crowdsourced artwork. All the artwork on the tags are provided by talented artists who make a little money on the side if their tag sells. Pretty cool huh?

And the company says the tags are made of indestructible aluminum, so they're guaranteed for life! We had ours personalized (on the back) with my name, contact phone, vet emergency number and my microchip number - just in case.

Thanks so much Dog Tag Art for contributing to my Giveway!!! Some lucky pups are going to be lots safer and stylish.
