Usually, the topic "pet products" identifies collars and leashes, or pretty little outfits (for the little ones, mostly) or other kinds of things that are for our dogs' and cats' health and welfare. These products do not fall into those categories - they are out there - a bit creative, and lots of fun. I'll talk about three of them and let you go visit the Woman's Day website where there is a complete description of all of them. First, the Bowlingual Dog Translator. Wow - who wouldn't love to be able to understand what their dog is complaining about? I know I sure would. This device apparently captures your dogs' barks using a microphone in his collar, and then analyzes the sound. The goal is to define the dog's emotions from the bark. There are six emotions and the device also comes with a diary and some quizzes to help pet parents understand what their dog is saying. (the site is a Japanese gadget shop - not sure how that works with shipping to the US.) Next, Browser Beer. I don't know about this one. Maybe Dr. Larry can chime in if he's watching. The Of all the crazy pet products, Fetchstix is my favorite. I know my daughter's dog, Twiggy, loves bully sticks so he'll probably love this product. Made from 100% Vermont hardwood, so the site says, the are pretty unique doggie bones. They say, "A dog toy that tastes better than cement and is easier on the teeth." Cute. They also have a terrific website. I see some fun, related articles in the sidebar of the Woman's Day website, so I do recommend a hop over there. Have fun! |
